6.3.4. Emergency Response

China has external mines rescue service organisations for the response to local emergency situations. They are provided with breathing apparatus and emergency response equipment. Inertisation apparatus is available and used for fire and explosion situations as needed. Mutual assistance arrangements are in place so that individual mines and rescue personnel cooperate to assist each other in the event of an emergency situation.
