3. Safety Technology

Each APP underground coal producing country is presented in the following sections highlighting leading safety and health practices and technologies that are currently being used, introduced or developed in its coal mines, potential future needs and gaps. An overall summary table is provided at the end of the section as a quick reference. Some of the coal mines adopting or using the leading health and safety technologies have also been identified and the details of the mines identified by APP Partners as willing to host demonstration visits organised through future APP initiatives are listed in Appendix G. The potential practice and technologies outside the APP and in related industries have been identified and presented in the section.
